Why universities underpaying their faculty and delaying their promotions should not be penalized?
There has been a lot of hype about the ranking business in higher education sector. While ranking agencies consider many parameters e.g. faculty number and qualification, infrastructure, research output, etc. why they do not attach any value to whether participating universities are paying their faculty as per norms, whether deserving faculty are getting promoted on time?
