Could salary be used as a surrogate for smoking when sample data are lacking?
In epidemiology cohort studies, information on smoking status is often times lacking for the study sample, which makes it challenging to characterize the effects of other risk factors on endpoints that are causally related to smoking (e.g., lung cancer mortality). Are there concrete examples that genomics research or genomic selection led to superior crop cultivars?
Numerous articles predict that genomics research and genomic selection would accelerate plant breeding. We have been conducting a study to see how much more effective is genomic selection relative to conventional visual selection in plant cultivar development for a number of years and are about to write a summary article. How does a friccohesity quantum mechanically correlate shear stress and shear rate with surface tension or energy to smoothen systolic and diastolic heart beat with 120/80 mmHg blood pressure?
Pumping large sized food particles with least surface energy, heart needs more energy while for small sized a less. The higher friccohesity predicts small sized food particles with more adherence with blood serum with higher energy moderating shear rate with surface energy.

Google Flue trends did not work out so well when it was introduced. However, there has been a lot of progress whereby scanning digital media, especially social media, may provide us with information about an infectious outbreak before more traditional surveillance approaches, such as hospital visits. Why universities underpaying their faculty and delaying their promotions should not be penalized?
There has been a lot of hype about the ranking business in higher education sector. While ranking agencies consider many parameters e.g. faculty number and qualification, infrastructure, research output, etc. why they do not attach any value to whether participating universities are paying their faculty as per norms, whether deserving faculty are getting promoted on time? Do chronic studies in two species provide significant value in drug development?
Chronic studies in rodent (6 months) and non rodent (9 months) are required for approval of a new drug. Results of these studies are not required until the NDA is submitted, i.e. all the clinical trials are complete. The results of these studies are rarely included in the drug label. Since we generally have subchronic data in two species and long-term exposures in carcinogenicity studies, are the required chronic studies adding to patient safety?
