Animal Cancer/Toxicity: Critical Review of Key Studies; Cancer Classification
SciPinion is seeking experts in animal carcinogenicity testing and interpretation to support review of key studies and cancer classification
This project on the cancer classification of a chemical mixture will involve two phases:
- Phase 1: Review Panel - Key animal cancer/toxicity papers (~10-30) will be critically reviewed and scored by independent experts in the field. Selected reviewers will be tasked with reviewing 1-3 papers each. All reviews are expected to be complete by late February.
- Phase 2: Cancer Classification Panel - A subset of the reviewers from Phase 1 will be selected to participate in the cancer classification panel, and will be notified by mid February. Critical reviews of the key papers and other materials will be used by this panel to determine an appropriate cancer classification for the chemical mixture. This panel will start in late February and continue through the end of March.
These efforts will be conducted using our triple-blinded, modified Delphi format during recruitment and deliberations. Reviewer and panelist identities will be included in SciPinion's report for the review sponsor. A publication may be developed as a result of this work, at which time panel participants will be given an opportunity (approximately in May timeframe) to review and provide comments on the draft manuscript, which all panelists will be invited to be coauthors.
Compensation
Phase 1: ~$750 per paper; Phase 2: ~$6,000
